QTA 6th EDITION:THE AWARD THAT ENHANCES THE VALUE OF YOUR WORK.
The Quinquennial Tile Award is the international award set up by the Fincibec Group for designers who have created architectural and design projects with products from the Group brands: Monocibec, Century, Naxos and Over.
The award is open to residential, public, commercial or industrial projects completed between 1 January 2015 and 31 December 2020.. A jury of specialists will select the five most deserving works.
The project ranked in 1st place will receive a Bang&Olufsen Beovision Eclipse television, the projects ranked 2nd to 5th will receive a B&O wireless portable speaker. To enter the Quinquennial Tile Award, just go to the www.tileaward.org website, select the QTA6 area, fill out the entry form and submit the requested materials no later than 31 March 2021.

The works admitted in the prize will be judged by a panel consisting of five esteemed members with extensive experience in the ceramics, design and architectural sector.
The panel of judges will be composed of the following members:
- Vittorio Borelli, Managing Director of the Fincibec Spa Group
- Sofia Cortellini Klein, Design and Communications Professional
- Laura Rinaldi, Architect
The judgement of the panel of judges cannot be challenged and shall be final.
The award offered in this international competition recognizes the personal artistic skill of the competing professionals. The winning entries will receive:
The project ranked in first place: a Bang & Olufsen BeoVision Eclipse television, corresponding to a voucher for a maximum amount of € 10,000.00 (ten thousand) to be used to purchase a Bang & Olufsen BeoVision Eclipse television (minimum rules as per the Regulation).
The projects ranked in second to fifth places: a Bang & Olufsen BeoSound 1 portable wireless speaker, corresponding to a voucher for a maximum amount of € 1,500 (one thousand five hundred) to be used to purchase a Bang & Olufsen Beosound 1 portable wireless speaker (minimum rules as per the Regulation).
Should the winners be unable to use the airline tickets for any reason, they may ask to receive the awards in cash.
The organizers reserve all discretionary powers to present the awards in cash.
Rules
1) NAME:
The Quinquennial Tile Award, Sixth Edition.
2) OBJECTIVE:
”The Quinquennial Tile Award, Sixth Edition” is an international award for all those professionals that with creative use of the ceramic materials of the Fincibec Group bearing the Naxos, Monocibec, Century, Fire and Over trademarks have built important works in the field of architecture and design. The initiative is designed and promoted by the Fincibec Group and arises from the desire to select and reward the best five international artists that have built works in the period from 01/01/2015 to 31/12/2020 in all building fields, whether they are residential, public, industrial or commercial.
3) DURATION:
Registration from 28 September 2018 to 31 March 2021 with the quality panel called by 31 May 2021 to determine the winning works.

International.
5) PARTICIPATION:
Architects, designers, interior designers, engineers, surveyors, technical firms, professional architectural or design firms, creators of projects also without a qualification, that have built works using the ceramic materials of the Fincibec group bearing the Naxos, Monocibec, Century, Fire and Over trademarks can participate in “The Quinquennial Tile Award, Sixth Edition” totally free of charge. The works submitted by individuals or groups will be admitted to the award, subject to the person responsible for the group being specified, to whom the Operative Secretariat will refer for any communications. The group participating in the award must also specify in the participation form the person to whom the award is to be given in the case it wins. One or more works will be allowed for every participant. It will be the sole responsibility of every participant to give their consent in addition to that of the customer/owner for the works submitted, both for participating in the award and for any subsequent publications.
6) PARTICIPATION PROCEDURE
a) ONLINE REGISTRATION
To register, it will be necessary to fill in the form on the website www.tileaward.org by 31 March 2020, by necessity accept the Regulation, Privacy Policy, Declaration of Responsibility and upload the photographic documentation of the project one wants to register.
A minimum of three different images of the project in digital format and (optional) a high-definition video of at least 300 dpi is required. The digital images must arrive in easy to read format, chosen from: Acrobat PDF, JPEG, TIFF. A brief introduction of the project built (max. 500 words) is also required.
b) REGISTRATION BY POST
You can registered for the “Quinquennial Tile Award, Sixth Edition” by sending the following in a single envelope to the Organisation Secretariat* of the Award by and no later than 31 marzo 2020:
- registration form that can be downloaded from the website www.tileaward.org, completely filled in and signed;
- a CD containing a minimum of three different images of the project in digital format (high-definition of at least 300 dpi). The digital images must arrive in easy to read format, chosen from: Acrobat PDF, JPEG, TIFF.

7) AWARDS:
The awards to be won in this international competition represent recognition of the personal artistic merit of the professionals participating in it, and those who will be chosen will receive the following awards:
First place: A BeoVision Eclipse Bang & Olufsen TV set.
The winner will be entitled to get a gift certificate of the maximum value of Euro 10,000.00 (ten thousand) that can be used to purchase a Bang & Olufsen” BeoVision Eclipse TV set.
Second to fifth places: Bang & Olufsen portable wireless Beosound 1 speaker.
The winner will be entitled to get a gift certificate of the maximum value of Euro 1,500 (one thousand five hundred) that can be used to purchase a Bang & Olufsen” portable wireless Beosound 1 speaker.
NOTE: If a winner for any reason cannot use the gift certificate, they may request that the value of the prize won be settled in cash.
8) PANEL:
The works admitted to the award will be evaluated by a panel made up of three authoritative members with vast experience in the ceramics, design and architecture sector.
The panel will have the following members:
- Vittorio Borelli, CEO of the Fincibec S.p.A. Group
- Sofia Cortellini Klein, Design and Communications Professional
- Laura Rinaldi, Architect
The judgement of the panel will be unappealable and final.
9) CONDITIONS FOR EXCLUSION:
The following will not be admitted to the award:
- All those that send the required documentation after the set deadlines;
- The employees, collaborators, relatives and family members (up to and including second degree) of the members of the panel, the Organisation Secretariat and of the Fincibec S.p.A. Group;
- Works already submitted in the first, second, third, fourth and fifth edition of “The Quinquennial Tile Award”;
- The works not deemed suitable or compliant with the regulation.
10) NOTIFICATION TO THE WINNERS AND PUBLICATION OF THE RESULT:
The award winner will be notified of the win by phone call, email and/or by registered letter with advice of receipt. The results of the award, the winners and the best works will be published on the website.
The award will accrue in the winners’ favour at the time Fincibec S.p.A. receives from them acceptance of the award along with the photocopy of their identity document; said acceptance must be communicated to Fincibec S.p.A. by email to the address mazzoni.renata@fincibec.it, by fax to +39.0536.861351, or by REGISTERED LETTER to the address Fincibec S.p.A. via Valle d’Aosta, 47 – 41049 Sassuolo (MO) Italy.
11) DELIVERY OF THE AWARDS:
The five winners of the award will receive all of the operational procedures to follow to obtain delivery of the award by post, email and/or phone.
12) ACCEPTANCE OF THE REGULATION:
Participation in the Award entails full and unconditional awareness, approval and acceptance of this regulation in full. The promoter company reserves the right to request that the material received (the sending of drawings, videos, graphic charts or any material that makes understanding the artistic, architectural and functional merits of the project easier) be integrated if it deems it necessary in order to assess the submitted work. By participating in the award, entrants grant Fincibec S.p.A. the non-exclusive right, for nil consideration, to publish, distribute, reproduce (also partially), disclose with any medium and channel absolutely free of charge, without territorial or time limits, the works with authorisation to use them (photographic material, digital images, technical specifications) without demanding any claims to copyright for them. In any case, the award organisers will be relieved of any responsibility to third parties in connection with the material sent.
This regulation shall serve as the basis for any disputes.
If there is a difference between the regulation in Italian and the version translated into English, the Italian regulation shall prevail.
Italian law shall apply and the Court of Modena shall have sole jurisdiction for all disputes or aspects not expressly specified.
